Robert Cecil Brooks III was born and raised in the Bronx. In this episode, he recalls how in college he was surprised to learn he was HIV positive. The difficulty he experienced coming out as positive was largely informed by all of the stigma he faced. “It’s a deeper issue. We don’t know how to talk to one another.”
